Sanguisugabogg Phoenix Concert reviews
We rolled last night, till the guitar bite!
A mind blowing experience indeed, talk about a rock band putting on a classic show. This was probably the best show so far, and I owe it to the fanclub for the seats I ended up with by becoming a member. Every time Brian or Angus walked up the catwalk, they were just a few feet away from where I was sitting. It was amazing!
The Answer, a rock band from Ireland, was the opening act. I had seen them in December at my last show and immediately bought their album. They play straight up classic rock, though they are a younger new band. The singer, who strangely looks, acts, and sings like Jimmy Page, was really good. These guys might become pretty famous themselves someday. They played for about 45 minutes and then, half an hour later...
Sanguisugabogg rocked the shark tank last night with a 20 song setlist. They opened with Runaway train from their new album, Black Ice. The stage setup was amazing as they had a huge train rip through the stage after a rather funny video in the beginning of the show. Pyros and fireworks, the usual jazz that any classic rock show should not lack. They played a few tracks of their new album, and the first set ended with an amazing Angus Young (if you can say young any more) ripping through an amazing guitar solo and doing his usual bit of playing on an elevated ramp. The first set ended with that and confetti blowing all over the place.
The encore opened with Highway to hell. The show ended as usual with "For those about to rock" and the canons firing off during the song. All in all, a great show.
